Karnataka CET - 2008

Eligibility

Academic Qualifications:

Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga

  • The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as optional subjects and with ENGLISH as one of the languages of study. The applicant should have obtained at least 50% (40% in case of SC/ST or OBC) aggregate marks in the PCB group.
  • The applicant should have obtained at least 50% (40% in case of SC/ST or OBC) in the CET Exam.

Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga

  • The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as optional subjects and with ENGLISH as one of the languages of study. The applicant should have obtained at least 50% (40% in case of SC/ST or OBC) aggregate marks in the PCB group.

Engineering and Technology

  • The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & MATHEMATICS as optional subjects and with ENGLISH as one of the languages of study. The applicant should have obtained at least 45% (40% in case of SC/ST or OBC) aggregate marks in the PCM group.

Architecture

  • The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with MATHEMATICS as a compulsory subject. The applicant should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of SC/ST or OBC) aggregate marks in all the subjects.
  • The applicant should also appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and score a minimum of 40% (35% in case of SC/ST or OBC) in NATA.

Application Procedure

  • Brochure-cum-application form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the State of Karnataka in which the students are studying (or studied) for 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination.
  • Application Fees: Rs. 550/- (Rs. 400/- for students belonging to SC/ST and Category-1). The Fess has to paid in the form of demand draft, drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore)
  • The Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (i.e., Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates) can purchase the application brochure by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 650/-
  • Karnataka candidate residing outside India can purchase the application brochure by sending a with a Demand Draft for Rs. 3000/-.
  • The demand draft should also accompany a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 30 cm X 25 cm. The contents on the self addressed envelope should be in English or Kannada language only. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly superscripted with the words “REQUEST FOR CET-2008 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the following address by speed post only:
