Vellore Institute of Technology

Vellore Institute of Technology also known as VIT comprises of seven schools offering 15 undergraduate programmes and 28 post graduate programmes. The institute has nearly 400 fulltime faculty members and about 600 administrative and supporting staff. There are 10,000 students in the institute of which twenty five percent are females.

The campus spread over 250 acres is located on the Ranipet - Katpadi Road at Vellore, a district headquarters town between the two important cities of Chennai (formerly Madras) and Bangalore. Two-thirds of the students reside in hostels.

Admission to B.Tech. Degree Programmes is based on VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) conducted all over India.

BATCH-2 (Rank 2001-3500) – 6th June 2008
BATCH-3 (Rank 3501-5000) – 9th June 2008
BATCH-4 (Rank 5001-6000) – 11th June 2008

Examination Pattern

The examination will be for duration of two and a half hours, from 10.30am to 1.00pm. The question paper will only consist of multiple choice questions.
