PHYSICS:
Building the Fundamentals:
Resnik & Hallidy, Sears & Zemansky, Nelkon and Parker, Feynman Vol 1 & 2
These are some of the best books to build upon the fundamentals and in-depth theory. But make sure you do not spend too much time in exploring the theory; Entrances are all about problem solving.
Problem Solving:
I.E. Irodov
This is one of the best books for problems in physics.
However, this book tends to have a concentration on tough problems. The pattern of JEE has been changing over the years. Lately, there has been a shift towards speed rather than tough problems. While Irodov was all you needed for JEE in the past, we also recommend more JEE oriented books, especially for students who are aiming for a selection rather than top 50.
H.C.Verma
We highly recommend this book for conceptual reading as well as problem solving.
Course in Physics for Physics by Tata McGraw-Hill
We found this book to be very relevant, concise, and what we term as "to the point"
