IIT - JEE - 2008

Online Application

Starting from 2008, candidates will have an option for both online and offline application process. (Remember the online application process is not completely online, it still requires you send material via normal post). Below are the details of Application process.

Please check “Important Dates” for deadlines of application availability and receipt.

Online (New) Application Process

Payment

  • In order to fill in the online application, payment has to be made before starting the online application.
  • Application fee is Rs. 500/- for SC/ST and Female Candidates, and Rs. 1000/- for all other candidates
  • Payment is only possible through Demand Draft
  • Payment through Demand Draft should be made in favour of 'CHAIRMAN JEE' on any nationalized bank payable at the corresponding city of IIT whose website has been used for the filling of on-line application form.
  • The draft number, bank drawn on, draft date and amount must be entered during Online submission of the Application Form.

Filling-up the ONLINE application form

  • Fill up the online application form carefully. After submission of all the details, preview the form. If you are not satisfied, then use edit button and revise/modify the online application form entries. After you are satisfied that all the entries are correct, click on the submit button.
  • Detailed instructions for filling the application is explained in the Information Brochure which can be downloaded from IIT Delhi Website.

Print the online application form

  • After the application form is submitted, a print version of the application form is generated. The form will have the application number and the barcode for the application number. Please note down the application number generated below the barcode. Take print on a good quality A4 size paper by clicking the print button.

Photograph and Signature

  • On the PRINTED application form mentioned in Step 3 above, paste a 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm recent good quality non-attested colour photo of the candidate in the space provided. Please write the candidate’s name and application number on the back of photo before affixing. The candidate and his/her parent/guardian should affix their signature in the boxes provided. Keep photocopy of the application form and demand draft.

Sending the Application

  • Candidates are required to enclose the following document(s) with the completed application.
  • Demand Draft
  • Date of Birth Certificate
  • The completed and printed Online JEE 2008 Application Form and the Enclosures mentioned above (see also the check list below) must be placed inside an envelope. Do not staple the enclosures to the Application Form. Fold the Application Form only once in the middle. On the right hand top corner of the envelope please write: JEE 2008 and the Application Number.
  • The packet should be sent to the Chairman JEE of the IIT whose website has been used for filling the on-line application form, by speed post/registered post only.
